      Most who? Despicables?

Cause, you know, the markets really liked the show he put on Friday the 13th. And what little Shooter saw of the news following Trumps show, they seemed to grudgingly give him credit.

In fact, it seems the markets were more impressed by Trump's show than they were of Pelosi's campaign speech.

One thing I have to say is Is she a whole new attitude here in New Jersey from the original people of New Jersey . I do know firsthand Trump has the Chinese vote also. And there are a lot of them here . But is scum bag Democrats keep figuring out new ways to get more illegal people voting such as what the scum bag in my state did giving illegal aliens drivers license the cocksucker

Big Win: Pelosi, Nadler Fume As Appeals Court Denies Effort to Subpoena Former Trump Counsel
Posted at 3:00 pm on February 29, 2020 by Nick Arama

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., joined at right by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., speaks about plans to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act which provides funding and grants for a variety of programs that tackle domestic abuse, at the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, March 7, 2019. Nadler, a key chairman in Pelosi’s Democratic majority, has sent 81 letters to President Donald Trump’s family and associates seeking documents and information to investigate possible obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

House Democrats have been trying to get testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn in regard to the Russia probe, subpoenaing him in April 2019.

The White House refused to have him testify, citing privilege.

Despite the Russia collusion theory being debunked by the Mueller report and McGahn talking at length to Mueller, thereby indicating there was noting there, they continued to try to have him testify, showing that it was all about a fishing expedition against the president to see what they could find.

The D.C. Circuit Court gave President Donald Trump a big win, reversing the lower court and refusing to order McGahn to respond to the subpoena.

Judge Thomas Griffith, who wrote the opinion, said that the Court shouldn’t be weaponized in a battle between the legislative and the executive branch.

    :
“If we throw ourselves into ‘a power contest nearly at the height of its political tension,’ we risk seeming less like neutral magistrates and more like pawns on politicians’ chess boards,” the decision reads. “In this case, the dangers of judicial involvement are particularly stark. Few cases could so concretely present a direct clash between the political branches.” [….]

“The committee’s suit asks us to settle a dispute that we have no authority to resolve,” the decision reads. “The Constitution does not vest federal courts with some ‘amorphous general supervision of the operations of government.’”

Griffith said if they agreed with the House, that Congress would then resort to it all the time, rather than trying to work out issues with the executive branch as they should.

Griffith also said that the House Democrats undermined their own arguments

For example, Griffith noted that House Democrats cited the administration’s litigating position in the McGahn case in support of the second article of impeachment, obstruction of Congress. That’s more evidence that Friday’s dispute is “a bitter political showdown” unfit for the courts, Griffith wrote.

Griffith also observed that the House issued subpoenas to Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross just one day after Jackson found the House could compel McGahn’s testimony. Griffith said those actions showed that a decision for the House could ensnare the courts in future disputes between the president and Congress over enforcement of subpoenas. [….]

The court distinguished Friday’s decision from related cases involving subpoenas and the separation of powers. Griffith said the decision does not disturb a 2019 decision finding Congress can enforce a subpoena for Trump’s financial records, since those records are held by a private third party. Nor does the ruling dispute that courts can weigh subpoenas against the president arising out of criminal prosecutions, as occurred during the Watergate era.

Ultimately that’s the right decision, especially in this case.

You want Congress to have the ability to pursue real, criminal actions and the ability to follow up against real specific offenses. But what you don’t want is what Democrats have been doing, throwing out subpoenas in fishing expeditions to see what they might find to weaponize against Trump so they can win an election.

And what you don’t want is to suggest that resorting to your rights is somehow obstruction, as they did during impeachment. This upholds that they were in fact right in so doing and shows that their claim of “obstruction,” at least in so far as McGahn, was disproven.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler (D-NY) fumed at their loss.

Nadler on McGahn ruling: I strongly disagree with today’s split decision. It is fundamentally hostile to reason and precedent, as the dissent recognized. If upheld, it would destroy the power of Congress to gather information & hold this or any future administration accountable

    @ChadPergram

Pelosi on McGahn ruling: The House will now pursue an en banc rehearing of this decision. We will continue to honor our responsibility to exercise our constitutional authority to conduct oversight..including by issuing our lawful and legitimate subpoenas

No, guys, they cut off your ability for fishing expeditions.

Republican lawmakers urge House Speaker Pelosi to pull travel ban bill amid coronavirus concerns

Republican lawmakers have called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to pull a bill that would effectively rescind President Trump’s 2017 travel ban amid efforts to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

On Tuesday, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) urged Pelosi to drop the legislation. He added Democrats are playing politics with their partisan bill, which has been dubbed the ‘No Ban Act.’

The Democrat-led bill, which the House is expected to vote on this week, aims to rein in the president’s ability to restrict foreign nationals from entering the U.S. It would also limit the administration from enacting similar bans in the future.

Scalise has claimed the bill could impede the administration’s power to vet potential terrorists. He also stated it could contribute to the spread of the coronavirus by providing pathways for individuals from outbreak ridden countries to enter the U.S.

We may be stuck with a mad king dictator for president and a totally incompetent administration but at least we have House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to guide our nation through this crisis. Pelosi is speaking on TV right now laying out the things the government needs to do to actually address this crisis when not a fucking thing Trump is proposing will actually help one fucking bit. What the fuck good does a tax cut do or delaying our taxes when you at stuck at home and can't go to work anyway. Americans need paid sick leave. American kids need food especially when the schools are shut down. Small businesses that are going bankrupt need loans. Americans need testing TESTING TESTING to stop the spread of this virus. State and local governments need help and guidance. These are things we can start doing immediately.

All the mad king dictator is doing is making the crisis worse. So its up to Pelosi to actually address and try to solve this crisis.

    1. shootersa
Well, where was speaker Pelosi today when President Trump had his little show? Shooter looked for her at the conference, but didn't see her. Did you? Did you watch?

You know the one. The one where he announced the public/private partnership to bring testing to everyone, and Google will provide a web site where people can answer a few questions and find out if they should be tested, and if so, the closest FREE public drive through testing site.

      That one.

Oh, and did you see what the market did during President Trumps press conference? Do you think Shooter should send Trump a donation?

A bad cold or maybe a case of the flu. And we're using this manufactured crisis to try and jam mandatory sick leave and free stuff down our throats.

    Oh, and get President Trump.

    Note;
Nancy Pelosi is not president. She may think she is, she may want to be, but she's not. That makes whatever she's yammering about little more than a free campaign speech.

I think the most accurate thing I’ve read this morning was by John Harwood:
If he wants to take credit for the good, he needs to own the bad, right?

Lawrence Summers, former US Treasury Secretary:

Hopefully, whatever’s happened to your 401k is temporary.

Shooter is not concerned one bit about his 401(k). You need not concern yourself with it.
It's down about 6% just now, and may drop lower, but it will come back up. He doesn't lose a dime until he sells, and he has no need to sell, so its fine.

Well now see, that's where you're wrong, shooter.

I'm not offended. I see your posts and subsequent crowing about 'triggering despicables' for what it is; a pathetic and sad attempt to continuously bombard your political rivals with material that might upset them. That they're your countrymen and you really should be trying to find commonalities is obvious, and you throw a bone out there every once in a while just to keep up the façade, but the fact is all you're doing is trolling, and delighting in whatever disruption you've been successful in creating.

Doesn't bother me in the least personally. What it does is make me sad for your country, because that attitude is the one rotting your social fabric from the inside out. This self-created schadenfreude loop is distasteful in the extreme, kinda like watching someone hawk a loogie onto the sidewalk. Gross, speaks to a fundamental lack of grace, but I'm not offended.

And your consistent reference to looking at your own 401k and smugly reporting on its growth whilst congratulating Trump is, in fact, your judging all Trump's policies by monetary measure alone. Yep, yep it is, sure enough, plain and simple.

What I wonder is what you'll do if the recovery isn't quick, if this fall continues. I mean, we're in a bear market now, right? Nobody wants to be in one, and he'll probably try to take out a third mortgage on the economy to ensure it doesn't continue, but that bill's gonna come due at some point, and all indications point to sooner rather than later. We'll see then what you'll cling to, if it happens. For your 401k's sake, I hope it doesn't.

Paid sick leave just for this emergency? Why, once we have the mechanics in place, the despicables will want to make the case for making it permanent. You'll excuse our cynical nature when it comes to this kind of thing, seen it before. Another thing entirely to use a crisis to jam yet another big money social program down our throats.

I bet you guys are glad House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reversed the stock markets falling and have them going back up today. Stock market futures were down another 2.5% and the Dow was down -500 at one point last night. And then Pelosi announced she believes she has reached a deal with the White House and stock futures started going up and the Dow opened +1,000 this morning.
