So far, independents are less inclined to approve of Trump than they were to approve of prior presidents. All prior presidents averaged 53% job approval among independents.

Polls are a dangerous weapon that can be spun to suit your purpose and can't tell you if a glass is half full or half empty, just if there are any holes are in the glass ... all the polls that already had Clinton in the WH did was piss off enough people to say "over my dead body".

You want to take an accurate poll, go to bumfuck usa and ask those that scratch and claw to put food on the table not a 1000 dollar a plate dinner !!!

I tell pollsters what they want to hear so they will get the fuck out of my face knowing I have no intention of voting for who they think I should ... do that enough times and your poll isn't worth birdcage liner.

The polls said that it would be a close election, and it was. Most said Hillary would win narrowly. She did in the popular vote. It is tiring to have to keep pointing that out.

The polls now are saying that Trump is setting new records for the unpopularity of a recently elected president.

What makes this interesting is that Trump is acting like he has something dark and terrible to hide about his connections to Russians. It will come to light, I promise you. When it does the Deplorables will realize that their well paying factory jobs have still not come back.

This is going to be fun.

The funny thing is the only ones still bitching about Trump are the ones who didn't vote for him. Those who did aren't complaining. Weird, huh?

I still think Trump's Deplorables will get upset when their well paying factory and mine jobs do not come back. Trump made unrealistic promises to some desperate white blue collar workers that he will not be able to keep.

For a lot of Trump's supporters the main issue that overrides everything else is keeping immigrants out. Trump just signed a bill that will increase the number of foreigners with H2B visas.

Trump ran as a populist and a tribune to the common (white) man. He is governing as a conventional Republican whose only real goal is to make the rich richer.

 

its not Trumps job approval we should be concerned about, nut the house's approval ratings. What have the republicans and democrats given Trump to approve so far? Our system of government is broken and something needs to change. Trump isn't the problem. Maybe we should consider firing everyone in the senate and starting fresh.

 

Trump was elected because he wasn't a politician and he wasn't Hillary.
He has done quite a bit in the short time he has been in office but it is very hard to know what he has done if you only listen to the news media.
The people who have benefitted from the things Trump has done knows it and those close to them know it.
Of course the democrats does not have any idea.
People can see who is responsible for all of the delays and road blacks in our government.
Look for more business men and non politicians to be elected in the future.

Don't look for more democrats though, you will be disappointed.

Glenn Simpson, whose Fusion GPS firm has been tied to anti-Trump efforts and pro-Russian lobbying, will not talk to lawmakers in response to a subpoena, the leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committe said Friday.



Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and ranking member Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., confirmed in a statement that they subpoenaed Simpson to appear before the committee Wednesday as part of a hearing about the influence of foreign lobbying in last year's presidential election.

"Simpson’s attorney has asserted that his client will invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in response to the subpoena," Grassley and Feinstein said.

 

Simpson had so much to say when he was in hiding....Now...?not so much.

It has now been revealed Simpson and the Russian lawyer were in with Hillary and the DNC.
Looks like an investigation does uncover some things people really think will stay hidden.

 

Wouldn't the irony just slay the unsupporters if the outcome of all these investigations is that Trump did nothing wrong, what the Russians did is exactly what past administrations have done, that the Obama administration did what Trump is being accused of, and the Clinton e Mail scandal rises out of the ashes like a big assed Phoenix and she ends up in jail?

But, it will never happen. Trump is going down.

And the unsupporters will find out dealing with Pence is a lot worse than just isolating Trump and encouraging him to go play golf.

Trump will not go down easy. He will fight back with a vengeance if the Russian thing ever gets serious.
Right now it is mostly fun and a way to keep the democrats busy while he does what he wants.
Trump isn't a politician. He doesn't have to worry about his future in politics.
If it does get serious it will be a scorched earth policy. Trump will not have any reason to go easy on the democrats or even the republicans.
