I think some will remember a time when commercials were cool like this one for a Nissan commercial with GI Joe Barbie and Ken done to Van Halen's "You Really Got Me".

Mad TV did a parody of it later with Joe coming in all drunk with a bottle of booze in his hand and barbie dressed like a tramp in leather and Joe and Ken getting into a scrap while Barbie drives away leaving them to duke it out in front of the mansion. I can't find the video though because there was a lawsuit about it and think it was taken off the air but the original is still funny as hell.

Crank the sound and go along for the ride .......... great tune and great commercial.

PS .......... the commercial worked and I actually bought a 300ZX right after the commercial came out.

Its a proven fact that you can remember things better or more by singing.
SO, by these commercials singing, you sing it, you remember it, thus....they succeeded in what they wanted to do.

Get you to remember the number and sing it over and over again. The way to pass it on. (whether you need it or not)

They are annoying as heck.

 

True ......... and some genius figured out that the more annoying the commercial the more it will stick with you as well but that can be twofold, I refuse to buy any products from advertisers that piss me off with their commercials especially those fucking one's on the TV listings channel.

I like the new Geico commercials about saving money. There is one where the parents make their daughter's goldfish into sushi.\

If commercials were more amusing then people might be willing to watch them more often. Look how many people watch the Superbowl commercials.

 

I love the Geico commercials .......... especially the woodchuck one.
