Okay small rant here
But after months fixing my 600 bike after a old git ran into it anf the bloody insurance not wanting to fix it iv evencholy got it back on the road. But in the last 3 days iv nearly been hit 9 times from people pulling out in front of me to changing lains on the motorways with out looking.

Is it just me or are drivers in the uk getting worce?
Dont even start on the police who wanted to arrest me aftet i lost the head at a BMW driver for pulling out infront of me making me swerve to avoid them nerly into oncoming traffic just Becous thy failed to stop at a stop sine Becous thy were going to be late home. Excuse me but my life is more important than ur fucking tv show.

 

Sell the bike and get a car. You'll be happier especially in foul weather.

 

Iv got 2 cars a pleasures one and a work one i just profer the bikes

 

Just my opinion but bike riders do like to take a lot of risks and break the rules then blame us car drivers

 

I have noticed how motorbike riders have gone completely mad over the last few years.
Most of the accidents are caused by them going miles too fast and they think they own the roads.
The Bikes are far too powerful for you losers to control and it's always somebody elses fault.

I have spent much time amongst Medical professionals and trust me when a Biker dies there isn't a lot of mourning.

You lot aren't called organ donors for nothing...Make sure you carry your Donor Card at ball times please.

 

If you ride something so much smaller than a car you should learn that people driving cars on the highways look for something about their size and completely overlook smaller things. One reason I quit riding. That and I kept falling over.

 

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm a motorcyclist myself, but Conroe probably gave you the best advice. At least I live in the country with very little traffic, it sounds like you live near a fairly large city.

Most likely the trouble you have there is the same trouble we have here, people texting on their mobiles. Here in the USA texting by young people killing motorcyclists is becoming almost an epidemic.

I just ready a study about the pretty major increase of traffic fatalities over here after years of a decline in fatal automobile accidents. The psychologists in the study point to the universal use of cell phones over here by young people that text instead of talking.

Watch any driver that keeps dropping his head, he's looking down at his mobile. He or she is as dangerous to you as a hunter with a 12 gauge shotgun is to a hare.

I made a thread a few weeks ago about selling my motorcycle for the same reasons you have stated.

The roads are just too dangerous nowadays with all the distracted drivers talking, texting, reading, eating or just plain lazy when it comes to road safety.

 

Am not claming am completly innocent i do brack the rules and bend the law at times but ffs i can salfy say these days a lot of car owners need to open there eyes. I can forgive mistakes. We dont know whats happning in others lifes.

Like a few months ago i nearly lpartnerex partner now due to a drunk diver. She lived a fair bit away and its safe to say i dint think the bike was under 130mph the entite way to the hospital. Now yes i shouldent of being going thos speeds but i wasent thinking that at the time.

But surly not everyones got somthing like that going on 95% of the tine i stick to speed limmits if not slower dure to road conditions i ware hi vis coths and always have my lights on.

How hard is it for people to look for a second?

I decided, after so damn many close calls, to sell my Harley Fatboy and never ride a street bike again.
I'm not gonna die on a motorcycle. I had a back tire blow out on a curve. I was doing 80 mph.
That was a fucking trip. I didn't lay it down, but came very close. never again.

 

Dam that sounds close but after i ditched one if mine on the track and bustrd my leg up i decided there amd then i couldn't give them up

 

At 130 MPH you are doing around 65 yards per second......So it doesn't really matter if they look

Thay one i could of understood close calls or somone pilling out but at normal speeds 30-70mph normally thy have no excuses

BUT everyone else has to watch out for you when you are Riding at the speed limit.....

I remember the first time I drove in the UK and almost caused a huge wreck when I took a turn and "forgot" that you guys are backwards and drive on the wrong side of the road ...

I will say if you don't like the way I drive then just stay off the sidewalks.

Doesn't matter whose fault it is. If you crashed into me at 130 mph, we'd both be dead. If you crashed into me at 60 mph, only you would be dead.
Same with 50, 40, and 30 mph. I lost a friend doing 25 mph. Bikes are not safe.

The VAST majority of UK Bikers are fucking mad ...They ride Bikes far too fast for their abilities and think that it's ok to ride at 130 MPH on a public road WHEN

.........."I wasent thinking that at the time"............

I had two friends who were racing to a nearby store. One was on a bike and the other in a car.
The one on the bike won and circled around the store and came back on the road just as the other one was turning in.
The one in the car ran over the one on the bike.
