I have pointed out before all Trump had to do was what all other past presidents have done. Recognize a danger and threat to Americans. Tell the American people what that threat is and how to protect themselves. And then step back and let the experts and the scientists come up with the answers.

But instead Trump is a mad king dictator that chose to ignore all the health experts and scientists and constantly lie to the American people. That created chaos and a muddled message that only helped to spread COVID. We needed a national strategy. And instead all we got was lies.

Now the same thing is happening with the vaccine rollout. It bears the mark of Trump incompetence.

And just as your article points out there's really no excuse for that. Before Trump came along the US was arguably the best infectious disease experts in the world. And instead we responded like a shit hole country.

Well if you are unfortunate enough to contract the disease, you’re probably better off to be in the US, the odds of dying from it are equal or less than 100 other countries. Including Canada, UK, Belgium, France, German, Ireland, Italy, Australia, Russia, China, Poland, Greece, Spain & Sweden. You’d have a slightly better chance of survival in Finland or New Zealand.

 

I would like to see that calculation since you could not calculate the mortality rate correctly......furthermore since the pandemic is not over then 'chance' remains a fluctuating variable!

Not sure what is meant by "quit living"
some older guys like me might be overly cautious and maybe miss out on doing a few things, while some guy in his 30s might not worry at all.

 

Nobody ever quit living here , and we're all

living the high life , having a ball , partying ,
celebrating , fishing , going to sports , music , festival , and all manner of events ,
even including gypsy gatherings


This is truely living , and thank god for kiwi common sense , and unified communit spirit.

To avoid dying.
It does not mean run out and start licking stuff, or kissing strangers, or sniffing other people.
It does not mean, if you have immune issues, going out to the restaurants and bars.

It does mean live life. Wear a mask, distance, wash, but live. Drive to California to see your granddaughter. Invite your daughter to come to Colorado for the holidays. Live.

Shooter is living. He does not consider himself to be immune challenged, in fact, he thinks he is healthier today than he was 5 years ago. So he will live his life. If he gets Covid, so be it. If it kills him, so be it.
