Shitters pre-occupation is precisely what this particular virus preys on but he is too fucking stupid to realize that an organism the remains viable outside the host for a matter of days can be beaten if he stops moving around for a while.

So all that extra DNA that shitter has would appear to be extraneous compared to the paltry bit of RNA that defines covid-19.

We've already introduced an extra test ,
immediately on arrival ,
since the faster spreader emerged ,
and with the numbers of infected arrivals already rather to high.
So three tests over the 14 day quarantine since recently.

Now pre departure negative tests will be required from some countries.

So far , the UK and US ,

but more will be added as soon as the testing regime before departures can be initiated.

It had to happen , because our quarantine and isolation units , which have a capacity over 4,000 are stretched ,
mainly because of the number of infected arrivals.

They're so overrun that they are constantly book way ahead , currently out well past the middle of Match.

It is rediculous to be constantly stressing our border and quarantine staff with so many arriving obviously infected before they departed.
There's no excuse for that now.
It's past time it was more controlled.

And I can only regret the whole world had followed New Zealand's COVID response. We would be so far ahead and there would be so many lives saved if we had.

 

It would be nice if the US had no land borders for infected people to walk across, instead of the four thousand miles we have. It would be nice if the US only had six air ports of entry to monitor, rather than the three hundred thirty that we have.

It would be nice if we had a population of law abiding citizens who did not congregate en masse while foregoing health directives. It would be nice if the US did not have governors who ordered the placement of infected seniors into elder care facilities. It would be nice if the political leaders of the US, and their faithful followers, didn’t politicize every facet of the pandemic.

If those “would be nice’s” were to come to fruition, our death rate from COVID-19 might be lower, and all of the critics would have less to talk about.
