  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

:) I am going to the beach, but I think it´ll be too cold to swim  But I am sure it will be nice! Especially the food, since we´re talking about it

Well, have a good time. I'm going to have to wait for a good 6 months before I go away. Croatia is the current thought. Sun, sea, sand and sex, but not necessarily all at the same time. Sand and sex can be a painful combination.

Ugh, really hard going at the moment. I couldn't possibly eat any less without being miserable. I know I've reached a point at which I have to step things up in order to lose any more. Looking at old pre pregnancy photos to remind myself what I used to look like. On the plus side, my clothes are hanging better :)

Weigh in today - and another pound gone :)

My clothes are starting to hang rather than stretch a little, and some are remarking on how well and confident I look. So glad I managed to get back on track.

    Anyone else?

It's really difficult right now; I started walking more to up the activity level - but it's been such dreadful weather, that's gone out of the window. I'm also much more hungry and craving carbs and sugar.

(sorry if someone has said this)

Hi Cija I went from a 42" waist I am now a 29-30" I have hovered around this for a while, it wasnt easy, but over time I have gone through a lot of the pro's / cons of weight loss, although I am a marathon runnner now.

Depending on what exersise you do e.g, walking is one of the best, low impact, burns calories etc / swimming is another exellent way to burn calories.

R.E diet and being hungry, wanting carbs, try a high protien diet, lentls, green beans, organic peanute butter ( not only is it high in protien the peanut butter that the oil seperates from the nuts in, actually lowers your cholesterol)

Chicken with no skin, gammon no fat, tuna, dont eat bread other than for fibre, (whomeal bread) , rice instead of potatoes (brown rice if you want to go bezerk)
mainly stay away from eating bread.

fat burning products : dont waste your money on them...... no matter what these products dress themselfs up as, they are all based on a complex B vitamin

Mainly vitamin B3 B6 B9 B12 there is a product called Energy release by the vitmain store, efervesant tablets in a tube, on the back you will find it contains these B vitamins (b vitamins are weed out like vitamin C so are not detromental to have too much) although prolonged use of can effect the liver, so dont have them literally every day, the RDA amount in the tube is like 300% + it is good for exersize ...... Why you ask ?

Drink one of these drinks about 1 -2 hours before exersise, the vintamins will sit around your muscle areas and when you exersize, instead of drawing carbs from your stomach to make glucose, your body will be more enclined to convert the fat close to the muscle in to energy, however, in order for your brain to function properly you do need carbs.

So E.G in the morning for breakfast, 2x Jam on toast (whomeal) the jam will give quick and easy energy raising your sugar levels and benefiting your mood, the toast (whomeal / complex carbohydrate) will burn slowly giving you a slow release of energy, Oats are the same, you canhave bacon but lean bacon.
Have your vitamin drink with this if you will be active shortly afterwards

lunch well I have usually if I am not running that evening a couple of eggs if small curry and rice

for my tea, tuna and rice with salad, or make a soup with breast of chicken a packet of chicken noodle soup from knorr .... mix together add vedge of your choice with orange lentils (high protien), thicken the soupup a bit with mushy peas, broclli green beans, make it to your taste, but make it High protien and you wont feel as hungry as quickly after eating.

Allow for those set backs, it happens to everyone, drink pleanty of water, you will be amazed how much better your body will look when your properly hydrated

exersise in the evening is better than in the morning,

if you fancy a snack, eat rice cakes ... few calories in them and filling,

Even better, if you really muct snack make yourself some cabbage soup, its practically nutritionally invalid, it will fill you and your body wount be able to take much from it apart from what ever vitamins or minerals are in it.

I can tell you how to lose a few pounds fast but you will have head aches while you do it and you can only do it for four days but by god you will loose a pound or two and be in good health while doing so

If anything I have said is not quite in context, it is because I have simplified a few things (look in to those B vitamins)

    Good luck everyone

If anyone would like to ask me about personal training e.g targeting certain parts of the body I will be happy to answer any questions you may have, I will check on this post to keep up to date, I will also post some healthy foods like chinease foods, currys etc, how to make them so you are not eating loads of preservatives and all will be amazed how tasty and easy they are to make

Thanks subboy - lots of great advice there :) I'm looking to lose over the long term, so I won't be trying the quick fix - I presume that's some form of detox?

I have to keep Mr Babe happy too, so it's not simple (he's entirely vegetarian and very fussy). Most of the time I have porridge with fruit for breakfast and veg soup with a roll or bread for lunch. Protein can be a problem; I try to have fish once a week, otherwise it's beans, nuts or cheese - peanut butter does appeal to me so I'll look into that.

Interestingly, back when we became vegetarian, rice and flour (also pasta) were cited as sources of protein, unless my memory fails me. That doesn't seem to be the case any more, and I'd be interested to know why.

If you are vegtarian and not vegan, egg white is a good source of protien, the main difference between a meat protien and vegtable protien is.

A vegetable protien doesn't give the full range of protiens to create the necessary amino acids for building muscle, however, by eating various veg it is possible to get the full range of protiens to create the amino acids needed.

Vegetable protiens of course don't have as much fat, this is why among most athletes tuna and chicken are a favorate as they are very lean (also they are the highest in protien among meats)

As you eat fish ...... Tuna would be perfect, its lean and very high in protien.

For the exercise you have explained, along with the way you intend on your programme, I wouldnt worry too much abouth this.

Regarding the protien diet for feeling full for longer, lentils are a good source of protien, chick peas, kidney beans, Tofu, baked beans (but these can contain a lot of sugar)

you mentioned you dont like peanut butter, ok, well peanut butter is made of monkey nuts (the nuts in the yellow shells) if you prefer them like that, they also help lower cholesterol as I mentioned

you mentioned rice, pasta etc was once said to be a good source of protien for a vegetarian, I can only assume (without looking it up) that it was reffering to the fact that you would be eating rice or pasta as a staple, hence the amount you consume, despite it being low in protien, because you eat a lot of it, that would be the benefit, don't quote me on that it is only my opinion.

when you walk, make sure you walk at a brisk walking pace to keep your heart rate elevated this will increase your metabolism.

if you fancy something a little different.

First get a descent trainer (running type shoe) it doesn't need to be exspencive, just have reasonable cusioning and comfortable on your foot

(if you are going to start jogging or running, go to a reputable running shop and get your feet gaited, there are a few different types of trainer for your feet and they make a big difference in regard to not sustaining injury)

when you go out, walk for 5-10 minutes to warm up, then jog (not run just jog) for 30 seconds then walk for a minute, jog for 30 seconds, walk for a minute, do that say 10 times, so 10 x 30 second intervals, this will greatly increase the productivity of your exercise, increase your metabolism and help you fat burn more.

the proper version is jog for 1 minute, sprint for 30 seconds etc... it is called high intensity exercise, but walking and jogging does the same thing, it is to do with making your heart rate rise and fall.

Again I have not gone in to great detail about the amino acids and protiens but what I have said is fact.

I have not been well recentlly (flu) but I wanted to reply to your posts, I will add some meals that I make along with pics that are vegetarian (until you add the meat lol) they are tasty, high protien etc.

you could eat small portions 5-6 times a day instead of eating larger portions 3 times a day this is a good way of staving off hunger, drink loads of water, this will keep you full.

I will post something a bit more in depth by the weekend, I hope this is of help to anyone who reads this thread.

P.s if there is anything I have said what anyone is unsure of please feel free to ask

Thanks again subboy - I was aware that the protein vegetarians eat isn't complete, so you have to mix and match, although I believe quinoa is complete.

I do like peanut butter but have avoided it as it's fairly high in fat. How about tahini (sesame seed butter) - how does that compare?

Thanks for the advice on exercise - I went on a couple of two or three mile walks this weekend; it was cold, so I wrapped up warm and set a brisk pace. From time to time I did break into a jog, as although I was warm, my fingers started to go numb, and it really did the trick getting my metabolism going. It did rather knock me out though - I'll have to pace myself.

A friend has been trying out the latest high intensity workout - you go absolutely full out for 20 seconds, rest, and repeat two more times. I don't think you have to do it every day. I haven't looked it up yet and it sounds rather extreme for my taste.

It's been a difficult week, and the consistent cold weather hasn't helped - comfort eating is difficult to resist, but I've tried really hard not to go overboard. Weigh in in the morning - I may have lost a pound, or I may stay the same. Fingers crossed :)
