We received one of those emails from higher ups on Friday that said “I encourage you to take a much deserved rest and spend time with loved ones.” Plus another paragraph about “refueling and taking stock” and blah blah. Corporate bs.

I absolutely despise when someone drowns you in words but says nothing of value. Of course we are going to rest on our holiday weekend and we don’t need some supervisor we never see to encourage us to do so.

What would have been better is, “I hope you all have a fun and restful weekend with the ones you love.”
