  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    Massive Attack, Angel.

I'm entering in to this whole eletronic phase right now, it's pretty nice. So far it's just some old Tangerine Dream, Portishead and these guys, but I'm digging it. I'm looking at this group called Theivery Corporation. If anyone has any opinions on it, let me know. Or just other recommendations in the same vein as those listed above. Right now I'm getting my recommendations from iTunes. "You bought this...You might like this." So any extra input is good.

I'm getting back into hardcore power metal, and they're just about the best band for the genre. Italian opera singer style with really heavy, melodic metal sounds strange, but at the same time, very cool.

You can't deny how cool they were back in the day. The day they went hardcore mainstream was the day they started sucking.

agreed. "smash" has been the only album of theirs worth listening to.

hey ShakeZula.... Thievery Corp. are great...usually anything from them is good. got a very cool track from a great sample album from Om records called "right angles" (shouldn't be too hard to track down....) if you like portishead then check out something a lil' more adventurous = goldfrapp are worth a listen. and if you're digging electronica beats then totally recommend an album by the sofa surfers called "transit" released on klein records in 1997...very very cool. also check out an album called 'deep roots and future grooves' released on wicklow records...stylee world music re-mixed. finally, if you ever come across an album called 'bananna connection' GET IT! more very stylee beats with a world music sound. kinda hard to find but you are living in Korea...never know your luck!

    enjoy! :)

Dude...what else can I say but thanks. I downloaded Felt Mountain from Goldfrapp and this shit is amazing. I had to turn off all my lights and listen in the dark. Add a bit of the iTunes Visualizer in the mix and you've got a combination that makes me happy and depressed at the same time. Makes me wish I did drugs.

iTunes had some Sofa Surfers, but not Transit. I'll be back home in Jan. and if I remember, I'll swing by a music store and see if I can find it. If you have any more suggestions, lay 'em on me. Especially if the groups have female vocals. I like that little bit of sexy in my music when I can get it.

Yeah, my ex was into Goldfrapp...pretty strange, eclectic stuff...quite liked it.
Don't often listen to music when I'm online, but at the moment I'm treating myself to Peter Gabriel's 'Music from the Last Temptation of Christ' or 'Passion' You'd probably know bits of it if you heard it, 'cause it's been very widely used in T.V. and ads. A very uplifting mixture of studio and 'World Music' instruments and vocals.

Thought I must be the only person in the world to know 'This Mortal Coil'!

Elizabeth Frazer's renditions of Roy Harper's 'Another Day' and Buckley's 'Song to the Siren' are two of the most exquisite pieces I have ever heard.
Earlier 'Cocteau Twins' stuff, especially 'Treasure' are in the same league.......same girl of course!

no...you are not alone.... i have all of the releases here on vinyl... :)

i love "i come and stand at every door" - very haunting! and also "you and your sister"...Kim Deal and Tanya Donelley...what a combination!!

as far as cocteau twins go i have a few releases on vinyl (all albums on cd)..."roccoco" off one of their earlier ep's is truely awesome at full volume! and yes 'treasure' is a gem!

cool to see like-minded music lovers on here... :)

well I'll agree that Smash(which I also have, it just is too damn scratched to work) is the better of the two, I still like Conspiracy of One

I listen to music because I like it, not because people tell me to listen to it

My vote totally goes for Ixnay. I mean, that's when they were most metal. They finally figured out how to write more heavy stuff. Not to knock on Smash or ignition, that shit is pretty punk, but I'm just a huge fan of Ixnay.

yeah I like Ixnay too but I like their punk music better. I don't know why I just like punk better than metal, probably because I used to be one of those punk rocker kids in my younger days

    oh and:

    3 Doors Down-Kryptonite

damn I have been listening to a lot of songs from my younger years lately..oh well

I think that Smash is the best overall, but there a quite few songs on the other albums that I think are better. I don't have Conspiracy Of One, so I'm not sure about that album.

btw listening to Electric Funeral-Black Sabbath
