yea it is, especially because the only reason I'm in the clique that I'm in and not the one that the girls i'm actually atracted to are in is because one) almost all of the kids in that clique grew up together and two) I didn't play football or basketball as many years as I could've in gradeschool

That it been raining here for two days and last night it dropped below freezing. No snow just solid sheet ice on the backroads. And my son has a two hour delay.

After my g/f watched her sisters kids for the last five years while I had to work, her sister volunteered to watch ours since I was off this year and her husband had to work.
Had this planned for a month. She just called and said her husband called in and they were going out instead. Now I got to cancel reservations at the restaurant (had to call in a favor to get them in the first place) and try to fix a wonderful dinner that me a my girl get to eat after we get the kids fed and to bed.

 

I woke up around 1 this afternoon to my little bro shaking me telling me I had a phone call. Now I tell this kid that everytime I'm sleeping, unless it's an important call from somebody I actually want to talk to, not to bother me, and that doesn't include random college surveys or military recruiters. He tells me, "Chris wake up, the army's on the phone", I wanted to kick him in the face for waking me up, then I listened to the recruiter talk about the same BS he always does, how because I'm an athlete I'm the perfect specimen, how the army can help me with journalism, yada yada yada, like I really care, either way I'm not joining the military no matter how much they try to flatter me

dont blame you baller. the army is a good place to go, but it's not what everyone needs to advance in their life

i almost joined, recruiter even still has my diploma , but i backed out at the last minute , just couldnt leave my gf at the time

i do wish i joined the air force though , would've loved to fly those jets

 

Do you actually give cold callers the time of day? I either cut across them and tell them I'm hanging up now or I leave the phone and go and do whatever I need to do. It's their bill. They still piss me off though!

 

That's why I have an unlisted land line number....Of course my cell phone is safe right now....
