To clarify, I don't like English accent in a sexual way like the others. I'll bear listening to it when it's not slang but I pretty much am not turned on by the British. And yet I see so many people here who like it. I don't get it!

 

I am fond of Waterford and Cork Women's accents. Two people from Cork, speaking to each other if no one else is listening, are incomprehensible.

....and to everybody who says English, you should know that English accents are not all the same and I defy anyone to be excited by an Essex girls accent. Why do you think they wear their knickers around their ankles!

Reading this thread there are so many accents That I love to listen to, but none of my top 5 are from my country.

It's not that I dislike like US accents, I've just heard them all my life so they aren't "extra-special".

There are some US accents I despise though and the number one offender is from my own home town. (disclaimer- the accents I like/dislike are based on people who are not understandable. In my opinion, any accent is crappy if the person you're speaking to can't understand what is being said.)

The rest of my lists are given in no particular order. Some of these are depicted in the movie/TV shows given as examples.

It's so funny how so many people like an Aussie accent but are they talking about a normal Aussie accent or the more bogan slang accent

I like Paul Hogan's accent thats what I think of when I think of a Aussie accent. Where the hell was Steve Erwin from? I've been to Australia twice(Perth and Melburne) and never have I heard a accent like his. Bogan is like the Aussie word for redneck right?

 

You know that none of us here in the upper mid-west speak like they do in the movie fargo right? I live a hour away from where that movie was filmed. Althow you will catch us using the word "ufta".
