I am not a racial separatist. During my life I have liked Orientals, immigrants from India, Hispanics, and blacks.

I do recognize that average differences exist between the races, that they are significant, and that are durable. I believe that racial differences in average intelligence and crime are probably genetic, but I acknowledge that genes for crime and IQ have not been discovered yet.

I agree with stumbler that differences within each race are greater than differences between them, and that the differences overlap.

BTW, I am not seriously thinking of buying a rifle. I thought this would be an interesting topic. Others seem to have agreed with me.

I have never owned a gun. I do not like guns. I do not like the National Rifle Association.

 

i dont see you as a racist per say and i asked what the troll would think if i said i was a seperatist
and also i know that you have a stron conviction of the antigun means and wouldnt have bought one
but for one to question my motives is rediculous

i do want to see better control of firearms within those that should not have them to begin with and a higher rate of conviction for those that use them to commit crimes

and trust me either way id still suggest training either way even if you never fire a single round

 

First off I think you're right about the m14. In a direct comparison with the bolt action rifles it is vastly superior to them; same firepower with twenty rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Secondly it's a battle rifle while the AK-47 is an assault rifle, the difference between the two is the power of the cartridge. The battle rifles are long range heavy hitters whereas the assault rifles aim for domination through firepower over shorter ranges.

The weapons your beloved M 14 competes against are the FN FAL and the H&K G3.

As you are in the US the M 14 wins hands down for you.

But seriously anything with a muzzle, regardless of how small it sounds on a page, gets the bad guys' undivided attention.

 

I think you're over-reacting, as neither a non-violent form of depression nor a speeding ticket is likely to get you "banned".

You say you are "sane and of no threat"... don't you think there are LOTS of less-than-sane folks who think they are perfectly fine?

If you believe that anyone and everyone should be able to purchase a gun without a background check, and that those who have demonstrated serious mental incompetence should not be doubly screened, then I'm not so sure I would agree that are perfectly sane, at least not to my understanding of the word.

You make a habit of twisting words to suit your own purpose or to imply that others are less competent/intelligent than you- that fits my definition of "playing games". I didn't "confuse" anything- it was your inconsistent posts that made me ask previously if you are playing games or if you simply don't understand the correct definitions of certain words you used.

Your posts suggest that you often judge people based simply on whether or not they agree with you.

And I don't believe you are qualified to determine what "most people" would act on. You might say lots of things you don't really mean here, but I don't feel the need to pretend I'm anything more or less than what I am, and I don't post anything unrealistic (sarcasm aside, of course) simply because I'm more anonymous here - I'm still exactly who I am when I log off.

I've never disagreed that training and safety are of the utmost importance, but I don't believe those who shouldn't own a weapon in the first place would need training for something they don't own.

What do I think of a "racial separatist"? I would note, with apologies to Willie Shakes, that a racist by any other name would still smell as sour.

When you judge an individual based on their skin color rather than according to the merits of their own character, that is RACIST behavior, no matter what other name you might adopt in an attempt to disguise it.

Secondly, I would wonder how one who judges others based on their race could make these seemingly insightful comments in Cija's "weight loss" thread:

Do these sentiments apply (in your mind) only to people of certain races or do you believe that weight isn't a character judgement, but skin color IS?

And again with your word games: of COURSE you have the right to associate with whomever you choose, but that can be a matter of personal preference (I don't usually choose to associate with people who smell bad, have no sense of humor, or bore me to tears) OR a matter of racism (judging people by their skin color instead of their character).

It's highly amusing you find it so appalling that I "judge" racists (which doesn't bother me in the least, by the way- I definitely judge them as being supremely ignorant), yet you apparently don't recognize that you forming an opinion of someone based on their race rather than on their own individual actions, statements, or beliefs is the very HEIGHT of being judgmental and prejudiced. And you apparently don't like the "label" of "racist", so you make up your own "label" of "racial separatist". Now THAT'S funny stuff!

In my case it's true. I am a federal agent and my specialty is counter terrorism. I get a manditory mental health evaluation twice a year.

I am not over reacting given my position within this country's government and my insider knowledge I know more about what the government would do if it had that kind of power than you do.

The government does not care about you or any other civilian the government only cares about it's self they could not care less about your safety as long as they get kick backs and a retirment plan.

and because i find it childish i will fail to quote your posts

you claim that i play games yet i have not i do not make words fit what i want them to mean because words mean only what the are so defined to mean,, it is instead how they are interperated that makes the difference

then you say that judging who one will associate with is automaticaly rascism yet you seem to have missed the key operating IF

so for your future education i do not prejudge anyone at any level i will give them the chance to prove to me what they are
i give enough rope to either toe line or hang

and for all future posts if anyone asks about the overall merits of any weapon i will give an honest opinion and all will include training because i truely believe that every person should take a training course even if they are 100% moraly opposed to weapons
