Once two policemen threw me into an alley and beat me up. They broke several ribs. I lost a week of work, and a contact lens. I had not been doing anything illegal, immoral, or impolite. Nevertheless, I thought that was a freak incident, so it did not change the high regard I have for the police. On the other hand, I hate criminals, and want them to suffer.

 

I had the same thing happen to me, only I put both coppers in hospital for two weeks. Cost me a small fortune and some paintjob for the justice department. Didn't change my views on them either, nor did it theirs about me, save for the two unfortunates. They tended to avoid me afterwards.

Sometimes the cops take the law in their own hands, (they r humans too), movies project the same as MACHO Guys, but actually (mostly) its not the case, though there might be exceptions.... :laughing:

My opinion on police officers: could YOU do that job? There are bad police officers just like there are bad priests, bad teachers, etc etc....every day, these PEOPLE deal with the worst of what society has to offer...I haven't been fucked with by the po-po in a long time....why? I DON'T FUCK UP! I'm a father and I can't be doing all that....it was fun 20 yrs ago....maybe if people that bitch about the police would be responsible fucking adults, WE WOULDN'T NEED THEM!

I think there are good and bad cops, just like any profession. I think that body cams are great and should be mandatory everywhere. I think cops who abuse their power are lower than dirt.

But I think the fact that any cop out there has sworn to risk his or her own life to save others means that person deserves my respect. As @HungryDATM said, they deal with the absolute worst of society on a daily basis.

I can live with that.

 

But you have to realize some people screw up and realize they've made mistakes.. no one is perfect.

 

I don't have to realize anything. I've been around people who make those kinds of mistakes most of my life. Stop projecting onto me.
