well it depends really, the generalisation of guys - beer, sex and sport etc is true often but then it depends who you look for really. There are guys of course who are intellectual and really deep beings either through thought or emotion but they are in different social circles - depends what your looking for and where your looking Sex will still be on their brains though for sure

I preety much concur. Some of us can separate "want" from "need", this is very important to me, and a girl that I would consider `dateable', no addictions(or at least active ones) for me, I have already been in drug world, visiiting, not my place or lifestyle.
I will for my part discuss my kind of `chick flicks', an `action heroine' appeals to me.
I have a background in psychology and sociology, as well as science, so I can talk at length re: the human condition.

We pretty much want the same things girls want in `essential attributes/personality traits', That's it for now from me, my two cents

ps, using some better words, Slayer's list is not too far off the mark, especially the last one, I don't look for chicks in their late 30s for example to behave like they are `going on 17'!

Forgot to add one small but major detail.

Be who you are.. don't pretend to be who your not. Multiple reasons as to why with a tl;dr summary of it never ends well otherwise(as far as relationships go).

 

Fun: we want a woman tht wants to have fun and is up for doing more than just sitting around

Freedom: We like to know you love us and that you want to do things with us but we need freedom to hang out with our friends without getting shit for it

Food: Nothing makes a man happier than a woman who is a good cook

Sex: We LOVE having sex and want it as much as possible. You dont need to fuck us every single day all day but we want it on a fairly regular basis

Looks: you cant look like a homeless bag lady. wear some clothes that show off your body, they dont have to be expensive but no mu mu's please

 

Most guys want sex, food, happiness and no bullshit. What else can you ask for?

 

can't speak for all guys, but im 21 so at least in the same age group

i want a girl who doesn't embarrass me and herself in front of my friends
i want a girl who has her own life, and at least 1 of her own friends
i want a girl who isn't afraid to fuck, but isn't just using me for a 7 inch dildo
i want a girl with a degree/degree in progress or at least some ambition
i want to wake up to a blowjob, and some french toast

 

All I really want most the time is just for women to send signals. A lot of women tend to hide if they are interested in someone and I usually end up going home with the person that made it obvious they wanted me to start something off.

After getting to know a girl all I want after that I usually do horizontally. If that gets boring -not likely, for me at least- I like to have my ego stroked.

Everyone is totally different, myself for example i never used to go out to pwrties etc because it wasn't my scene and getting drunk isn't my way of having fun. I would prefer going out with friends and playing a round of golf or chatting about life and fun times in the past.

Most of the times when i met girls had been through work and i would just be on the look out all the time for someone i found attractive to myself - never cared if my mates thought she was hot or anything.

An example of me meeting a girl woueld be with my ex fiance.
She worked where i did and i noticed her having to walk home or taxi home every night so i offered to walk her home. We chatted about movies and lightly touched on work, had a laugh with stories from our past like when i fell off my motorcycle when at traffic lights. We spoke about foods we liked. I felt good because she had an open ear and a mouth to speak and the mind and self belief to voice her opinion. It was nice to know i was appreciated for walking her home so she was safe at night. I like to feel a purpose in life and mine at the time was getting her home safe.
I asked for her number when we got nearer her house and after walking home even though it was 11pm i text her something stupid like "i could murder a big bar of chocolate" and before i knew it i had asked her out and by midnight she was round mine eating chocolate and chatting up until dawn.

I'm a down to earth guy at heart and seeing as your asking men and not just asking for a generalisation of what men are then my personal WANT and NEED from a woman would be to:

1. give me an opening... The ability to walk her home was an ice breaker.
2. Trust me... Just the thought of being trusted with her safety.
3. Talk to me... If it was just me talking to her and not with her i'd just get her home and drop it.
4. Show interest in me as a person... We spoke about tons of stuff and She gave me her number when i asked without this stupid idea that alot of people get with the "treat them mean" crap.
5. Show your Instinct... Just use your head and go for it if you want it. We had fun and i gave her a line of chocolate to see if anything was really there or not.

I'm not the best looking of guys and confidence can be a massive issue because you could chat to a guy and without either of you realising he is already dismissing you because either: A. He thinks he isn't good enough. B. He will feel like it's a joke because he is probably as frustrated as you. Or C. He knows after a while you would drift off or cheat with a better looking guy.

I'm not saying all guys are like this but that is me. If your looking for me then i won't be at a bar or club dancing but at work looking for you.

One more thing to add. If you dress too slutty or dress down too much both will leave an instant "no thanks" sign on your head be it in a nightclub or on the street with a guy like me.

A cute smile or a nice comment is all the hint i need to at least start my process running to see if it leads anywhere... Not to the bedroom fyi i'm looking for a woman not a one nighter.
