That's still two too many in my opinion... These threads of your are some of the only threads I've seen that are posted just for the sake of posting the information. It kinda reminds me of a child trying to get attention... "HEY! HEY! Look at me, I'm trans-gendered, here is some information on the subject!" It doesn't really serve a purpose... If people have questions, they will ask, and you are fully justified in answering in as much detail as you wish, but it's like your answering a question that was never asked. All people are replying with is "good information, woot" which it is, but it's kinda wasting space really. It's threads like these that are, in my opinion, cancer to this forum, right up there with "rate my cock" threads, and even those aren't TOO bad
because those threads pose a question for people to answer and discuss, they have a purpose, cliche though it may be.

It's not the topic at all, really. It's not that it's on the front page or anything like that. I just think it's wasteful for one person, especially one who has been here as long as ZYZX, to create several threads with the EXACT same topic, instead of just bumping a previous one with an update. Bandwidth costs this site money and man-hours, so it's wasteful and annoying to me. People get pissed at newbies for asking a question that has been asked millions of times, but somehow we don't scold the ones who have been here a while when they do much worse: create new threads of old topics (almost exact replicas of older threads THEY created), and don't even pose a question or specific topic of discussion.

If your gonna bitch at newbies, don't be just like them, and don't pardon the oldies, they should know better anyway.

Well thank you for the insight into the transgendered male/female mind. I have always had an intrest into the phsycological aspects of the transgendered people who kindly exist among the masses. I am proud that you are able to stand alone... against the stream so to speak to realize your potential reality. I recently saw a show about a male to fem teen in the UK that kind of revitalized my curiousity (and my wifes.) We fell in admiration for this young woman, yet we were kind of confused by the mindset of the issue. I would just like to say thank you for the information about the SRS community, because I think we can take an understanding from your words what every transgendered person wants to relay. I am curious about certain points on a phsycological basis that I would like to converse with you about. If you are interested.... Please send me a pm!

You are just uninformed, not true

Pre-op transexuals have those and are officially recognized as female.
Some pre-ops have castration to limit the testosterone in their system until they do their SRS. But some transexuals never have the SRS for various reasons.

The state of California and many other states will re-issue birth certificates to pre op transexuals as female.

 

This isn't a cheap shot at the trans-gendered or anything, but in my personal opinion, if you are born a man, you'll ALWAYS be one in reality. You can get your penis and testes removed, have breasts implanted, even hormone therapy, everything you than think of, but you are still a male BECAUSE every cell in your body still has the same DNA as that of when you were born (omitting mutations), Y chromosome included. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything out yet that changes your genetical structure. Now don't get me wrong, I don't see anything "wrong" with people doing things like ZYZX has, but in my eyes..... you are still the same sex you were born as, despite how you look on the outside.

I guess i wouldn't really know from experience, but i don't see why just being gay isn't an option. Becoming transgenered must take so much time and effort... is it REALLY worth it? If certain people are that unhappy with/in themselves, maybe it's not JUST a gender thing, but a psychological thing? I don't know... It just seems like if i felt i was truly a woman on the inside, even if i had the money and time and such, I think I'd just rather be gay considering if i did get all sorts of surgical procedures done, I'd just feel mutilated, not like a female, because I know that every cell in my body knows I'm actually a male, brain and all. It's just an outstanding behavior of humans that I don't exactly understand. I get the logistics of it, just not the psychology of it.

Well, changing your gender really isn't about being gay or anything. I believe it is a more psychological thing that you believe you're really a certain gender in the wrong gender's body. But I also believe that some things on a cellular level can be involved. Perhaps maybe a cell divided and became that of the opposite gender or something. I believe identical twins can be opposite genders. And for that to happen, at least some of the cells would have to be of a different gender. So perhaps a person got some cells of the wrong gender.

I know what I just typed probably makes little sense... I know what I want to say but can't exactly say it right...

 

DNA mutation in certain cells aren't uncommon at all, but they usually don't involve the sex chromosomes unless it's a syndrome you are born with. DNA isn't something that one can have several strands of in different levels throughout the body. Men can have Klinefelters Syndrome (xxy), or xyy syndrome, and women can have 3 X chromosomes or one X chromosome (Turner Syndrome), but those are different things entirely.

I agree that it's mostly all psychological, but if one feels trapped in the wrong genders body, and they get all the surgeries done and such, do most people really believe they have changed genders, or are they doing it just to FEEL as close as they can to the other gender? Because like i said, to me, due to DNA, one will ALWAYS be the gender they are born as, and if i wanted to being a girl, i would feel as if i was only IMPERSONATING a woman, do trans gendered feel that way, or do they really think they have switched genders? and since we mostly agree it's all psychological, why wouldn't more people seek psychological treatments instead of physiological alterations?
