It is a brain difference, brains are made male or female, for any trans, mtf or ftm the brain was formed as the sex opposite to the genitals, it is a confirmed fact. You were correct about the x and y chromosomes, so I can see you do have some real knowledge. Years ago it was assumed that transpeople were crazy and were put into mental instutions where for the most part they met continual abuse. In the middle ages they were burned as witches, or because they were possessed by the DEVIL, or an evil spirit, (Neither of which exists.)

Some trans, and I know one or two, that didn't realize their real situation and tried to be gay guys for a while. They found it wan't themselves and finally understood they were women in a male body.

With you being a malebrain,malebody, you cannot understand what it means to realize your body is the wrong sex. ALL of us knew we were somehow different from very early ages, but didn't know why until our Epiphany, when all of the differences became clear to us, and for me it wasn't even right away but realization over a period of months, that the reason I was different from other males, was because my self, soul, whatever, was not male, but female.

You have stopped knocking me, and are posting things that make me think that now you genuinely want to know more. But your speculations re psychology have been disproven by the professions long ago.

We now have psychological evaluations before SRS to insure that we know that is what we want to do. We have to be more "normal" than most people.

Some trans are so distressed at having the "wrong" body that they actually do go into depression and/or kill themselves. I have heard more than one say they would rather be dead than have to live as a male.

That's all fine and dandy, but i never made any assumptions about the psychology of it, that's exactly what i don't understand and asked about, however you never really answered my question. I'm also very skeptical that the case that a "female brain" is in a male body or vice versa is "proven fact". Just because somebody said so, even if they have a PH.D., doesn't make it true, because anybody with any anatomical knowledge knows that a female and male brain are, for the most part, chemically identical (except for the DNA within it). That's not to say there are major differences in the workings of the two, but no doctor could see a real brain or and MRI and say "oh, thats a female brain!". The only real difference in the two is psychological, not physical, other than the sizes of certain divisions of the brain (such as the Inferior-parietal lobule, which is usually larger in men,[FONT=Arial,Helvetica][/FONT]but like anything, a female can have the same size IPL as a male and it would be like a man with wider hips or something, it wouldn't make any profound psychological difference), and that's were it's a fuzzy matter to say it's "fact" that transgendered people just have the opposite genders brain. I am not at all saying that the male and female brains function the same or see things the same, but the VERY different ways in which males an females perceive the world is not a set in stone thing like physical differences. For instance, there are plenty of straight guys who see and interpret things in a manner much closer to women (I should know, I'm one of them), but that doesn't mean they have a "female brain".

I'm trying to escape the physical science of it, because i am convinced it it purely psychological, and that's where i am simply curious about things like do they REALLY feel they have switched genders entirely, and things of that matter.

Sood, autopsies have show a difference in straight male brains, gay male brains, and transgendered brains where the mtf's are the same as female brains. One difference is in the hypothalamus. Read some more literature, you just haven't read enough of the medical research. Again, I ask you to check the links I gave and really read through them.

The only thing I knew about it when I was younger was that I was different from other men.And that I didn't in general like men or anything male. This is a common thing among mtf's.

I use saw palmetto, 3 per day (18yrs), red clover 3/day, fenugreek ,4/day, wild yam is also good. You can get a RX from a doctor for estrace, an estrogen cream to rub on the breast area. None of these are very expensive.

There are always implants of course, about in the US $6000 to $12000. There are 3 different types, one of which uses your own transplanted fat. But that isn't breast tissue.

Estrogen hormone shots or pills, shots best, also will, but expect your penis to shrink, and your testes too, and you may lose erectile function, but it doesn't keep you from orgasms.

The laws in the US have been changed in the last few years to make discrimination on account of sexual orientation, or gender illegal. That didn't stop a tranny hater at city hall ordering me fired and blackballing me from all city employment, as well as causing the school district to also not hire me. So I have a federal EEOC suit against the city of las vegas. I have been unemployed for 16 months now.

Question...or two: I know that MtoF trannies take a lot of female hormones. Do the hormones block some of the typical male traits? Such as male pattern baldness, Prostate enlargement with age, middle age hysteria (ie; the desire for a sports car) and so forth. Are these replaced with any typical female aging traits?

Some answers above, to the best of my knowledge from my own experience and what I have also read. The younger you are when the female hormones are started (and should be along with testosterone blockers), the more effective they are in feminizing the body to female proportions. I think it is a crime that a person who knows they are trans at an early age is not treated before puberty, and not allowed to live as their brain gender. Some of them are lucky enough to get those things early.
