Do you honestly expect to forget someone you really like in 24 hours????? I guess it depends on how much you "really like" them, but I would say that you may never forget them. I don't know your situation, but if you "really like" them, why do you want to forget them? I lost my husband a few years ago and it still hurts to think about him but I would never want to forget him. He is the author of my fondest memories and sometimes the memories still bring tears to my eyes but I cherish each and every one of them.

What is true love?

It is being so selfless, that this other person means more to you than your own life. I love my daughter, i would end my own life to save hers. I still love her mother and i would probably do the same for her as well. Just because we're not together anymore and had some difficult times, doesn't mean that connection isn't still there some deeper sense. I haven't loved like that since her, but i am starting to feel it again with the girl i'm with now. It's not infatuation or lust...it really is deeper than that. I think of her, before myself. When i know she's hurting emotionally, i feel it. I wake up early in the mornings, with no prior will or reason to wake up at 7am lol....but i do...i think of her. I call or text and wait impatiently for her to reply, only to find out that she's feeling sad or depressed. It's hard to explain to those who've never felt this before. My love for her is completely different than it is for my daughter's mother....but it is nonetheless...true love.

That being said...if this is what you truly feel is love..you will NEVER forget this person. They're in your heart....in your mind...and a part of who you have become........forever. Don't forget them...don't push them out...learn to accept the loss and be grateful for the time you spent. No time is really wasted, it's all in how you look at it.

What we know as TRUE Love at 20 { IMO is more about lust or infatuation } as we grow our concept about what is Love will change !! Love at 40 was totally
different then at 20 !! For me it has turned into more about Respect, tolerance, understanding & Accepting the person as they ARE !! That's not easy !!

Till a few months ago I never understood the concept of love sick and would have scoffed at anyone telling me that there emotions where causing them to feel physically ill. I learnt about that the hard way, experience, when I lost my true love I realised that it was completely debilitating. True love is something that hurts like hell when it leaves you but you never want to forget a second of. In my case I can say she is amazing! and she will either become the biggest regret in my life or the the year we shared will become part of my fondest memories.......

 

I'm not sure if it's true but people have always said"the best way to get over a man is to get under a new one" never tried myself but it's worth trying
