Every time I hear this song I impatient to hear that guitar. Amazing. The piano too.

 

I don't know why this song went almost unnoticed. I think it's unique and beautiful.

To hitchhike on Themis's post #24, I had to post this clip of Duane Eddy along with Jim Horn on tenor sax at a Buddy Holly tribute in 1988. I have the pleasure of knowing them both for 20 years, no better rockabilly guitar and sax ever.

I know it's not a 50's tape, but it's first Eddy/Horn tape of Rebel Rouser that I could find, stick around for the second number, it's a classic.

Always been a big fan of Lovin' Spoonful.

 

This was a great hit in the 60's

 

Too many to choose from. One I've always liked was "Reach Out, I'll Be There" by the Four Tops.

But there are so many, from so many different genres. Can't go wrong with Purple Haze of course.

 

This was a great song in the sixties too:
