My faith was restored when I discovered Clarise/Clarence wasn't one of a pair of twins.

 

Humanity has gone to shit in the last 50 years. Look at the united states government or state governments how everything is a crime. Look at how corporate america and the banking industry values one dollar more than human life. Look at all the racist organizations for black people to keep racism alive so that black people can continue to get a free ride. Look at all the bullshit lawsuits of people trying to sue to get shit the don't deserve. This list is endless at how humans have continually done away with morals and values in exchange for a dollar.

 

little things like the paying change at a register or letting another in front of you in lines happen often here which I am glad and return the kindness to others.I always think if I start and do the bigger things that may make a difference others may also.I own a buisness and the older and or disabled or less fortunate I give extra attention to,even if its to make home visits not that I want or deserve anything its hoping that another will feel led to do the same

 

I have a friend who has struggled financially all her life. Her son is 31, and works a minimum wage job on a zero hours contract at a supermarket. At the beginning of December he received a cheque for just under £1000 - close to a month's salary - from a competition he'd entered in the summer. I expected him to spend a good chunk having a huge luxurious Christmas, but instead he gave half to a local food bank and he spent the other half buying toys for a local radio station's annual toy appeal.
As he said, he and his mum had a home, paid their bills and had food on the table. He didn't need more than that when so many people were going without.

 

I think in general random acts of kindness. But one time I was in dallas airport with my husband. I had to be in uniform for one reason or another and this woman ran up to me hugged me and said "you look just like my daughter. She was killed by an ied in 2009. I'm sorry but i thought id seen a ghost." I told her it was alright and she could hug me.for as long as she needed to. Afterwards she bought us dinner. She insisted. And that sort of love for someone gone was amazing. I was glad I could help her even if it was a little weird for me.

 

We went to Costco yesterday.

I hate Costco. It seems to me that airports and Costco somehow manage to drop the average IQ by 10 points. I mean, people are just plain RUDE.

For example, you can just BET that where the aisle is narrowest, that's where some idiot is going to stop their cart to read the label on the Mayonnaise, firmly blocking the entire aisle.

And those little food demos are always, but always at the busiest intersections, and people just cannot park their cart away from it and walk over to get their taste of Yogurt or whatever; they have to always park RIGHT THERE SO NO ONE CAN GET BY UNTIL THEY ARE DONE FEEDING AND ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS

And the parking lot..........

Anyway, we're checking out and behind us is a guy and his (I assume) old mother. They had two items. I said, why don't you go ahead, and after some encouragement, they did.

So they checked out and he thanked us and for a joke I told the checker
"Hey, wait a minute, they said they were paying for us"
Everybody laughed, cause, you know, it was a good joke.

Right up to the part where the guy dropped $200 on the counter to pay for our stuff. He thanked us again for letting them go ahead.

So instead I paid it back.......so to speak, I gave it to the checker to apply to the guy behind us.

 

When somebody cares .. I love to watch people walking in market , doing , helping eachother and its so beautiful to see how all things are interconnected ..
