I had a pair of Mallards that keep showing up in my yard. I shot them repeatedly with an airsoft rifle.
I chased them away for a couple of months, but they kept coming back. I caught them using my
swimming pool as a bath tub. I had to kill the female yesterday and the male won't come back.
My neighbor is mad at me, but she is still talking to me. She doesn't understand that duck bacteria
will ruin the finish of a pool. Her friggin doggie ratted me out.

We need rain , we are in a drought crisis . Only 3 inches of rain since the beginning of Feb .
It looks like no rain until at least June / or mid June .
    Hot and dry .

That dog likes the husband better. She kept trying to play with the duck, and that alerted my neighbor.
Then another female duck showed up, I checked and they weren't home. Ha, I'll kill that one too. But when I loaded
the pellet gun, she was swimming away...with 7 baby ducks. Shit. I would have felt some remorse for killing a mommy.

WHOA! I never thought of that. They are lead pellets. The game warden said it was OK to shoot them
because they're a nuisance and non-migratory, but I never thought about lead shot. EEEEEKKK!!!

    13 C or ~ 56 F a warm evening. At this latitude, our `summer' typically goes from mid-May to mid-August, when our `autumn' begins.

True thatBlueSoul. It was 92+ here in NJ yesterday. The train broke down again in Newark Penn Station. No fucking A/C and standing next to 2,000 other people waiting for another train. At least there were some very hot girls to keep me occupied while I wait. Thanks NJ Transit for the free entertainment.

Today will be the hottest day of the year so far at 99 degree's.
The rivers are running high, swift and cold. We've had a few drownings this weekend and next weekend is a holiday weekend so there will likely be more..

    Stay cool but be safe.

Around 18C and cloudy just outside Belfast and expected to be nice this week.

    On another Ireland note:

Petrol bombs thrown at house in east Belfast
Two petrol bombs have been thrown at a house in east Belfast, causing damage to a door.

Police said the incident in the Larkfield Road area was reported at about 23:45 BST on Friday.

One of the petrol bombs caused damage to the outer door of the property and the other failed to ignite.

No-one was in the property at the time of the attack.

Raining here in Texas again. I picked home grown tomatoes before the storms hit,
and now it's time to make my famous salsa. The last batch I sampled too soon and
burned off the roof of my mouth. That hurt for a week...I'm gonna let this batch cool
off first. I grew killer tomatoes this year, and they're only halfway done producing.

Yes please, I love Salsa and use it on almost everything I eat ... except on ice cream LOL but I'm not above trying it on a dare !!!

      Yes to what? I didn't offer anything...LOL

I guess you want some? Do you have access to home grown tomatoes?

I have access to anything and if I can't buy it, I have "people" that can "redistribute" it LOL.

There is a wonderful farmers market in the Italian quarter here or a nice drive south to Italy a few hours away might be in order ...

Try this salsa. It's my own recipe. I tweak it due to my mood. More jalapenos for sure, but your Canadian palate may preclude that.
at least double the cumin. I cut the tomatoes in 1/8ths and chunk up everything else. If you like it non-chunky, cut the stuff smaller.

Everyone loves it. We can it in quart jars, but if you're feeling generous, pint jars are in order. Enjoy!

But don't put it on icecream for Christ's sake...
