This place can ill afford to lose valued members such as the clarise's, m4mpetcocks and justpassingthru's that although what they share isn't to everyone's taste they were all more important than any moderator or administrator here that lurks in the shadows waiting for someone to have a bad day and speak out of turn. No one currently here has much room to talk as from what I see there is a lot of lip service going on. God I miss the early years here.

These losses will never be able to be made up for if the current level of dissent among members is any indication and I wish them all well and hope they move forward with positive outlooks.

I was here years ago back in a kinder gentler time but my life has been full and I stumbled upon my old account but can't remember the password now that I have some free time on my hands. I see few of the old guard here anymore and maybe I will just log off and write this place off as the sewer it looks to be these days.

 

So 2 established members just started an argument amongst themselves over what appears to be something trivial yet it displays the current mood here these days between those on opposite sides of the widening rift started by the same old political threads that back in my early days here were also a topic of dissent. I see the more things change the more they stay the same!

We need to get back on track and come together as a society and leave the garbage to the people in government to hash out. Good luck with that.

Regardless, this thread is another example of a member that has struck a cord with many here over the years and I saw that few if any other members here have had so many threads made about them by others through curiousity or contempt, so you can fool yourselves all you want, this furball made a difference here with a lot of others and we can never take that away from him no matter how hard some of you try to do just that!

The same reason I said that clarise and m4mpetcock would be missed here but since you 2 turned it into a find waldo session I made an observation of a member that was good for this place and that is sorely lacking now. I got that but that is what conversation is for. Facebook ushered in a new era of non communication among social media users and that is part of the decline of civilized conversation in my opinion.

So I am getting the distinct impression that anytime a new member posts in a jpt thread that they will be accused of being said person. Please tell me I am wrong and that people are better that that? I am not new by the way, I am just a different person than I was 10 years ago.

You can't discuss shit with a "Like"! And a "Thank you" post is a hell of a lot better in the pic and vid section than a damn "Like" which doesn't bump a thread at all! Same goes for the damn Comments under posts! They don't bump a thread and nobody even knows that you posted the damn things unless they've posted in the thread before and happen to look at their Alerts! Aaaaaarrrrrgggg!
