I myself plan on joining the navy. But anyone especially a woman that can be on the front lines deserves their toes to be sucked.....Daily.

 

id like for the military to get back to putting criminals back on the lines like they did pre1978
for minor crimes you had a choice jail or service
hell put these fucking criminals on the lines if they like killing so damn much
after 17 years total and watching more than enough friends and family die i had enough of the whole thing

i will never dicriminate by sex or race as to who can serve where it should be based on quallifications

Yeah, that "irate" time once a month must be why women commit more violent crime. Oh wait. THEY DON'T! I'm not saying women should be required to serve in combat units, but if they want to and they meet the physical qualifications, I don't really see how we can say they can't. Not being able to serve in combat zones affects their pay and their opportunities for advancement.

 

Women in Combat

26 years here in the military. Viet Nam was my war. Women in combat will get guys killed because 1: guys will watch over them way too much, it's a built in thing for a man to protect a women, 2: a women cannot carry a wounded soldier out of harms way. The can't carry a KIA anywhere. They can't pick up the weight. We don't leave anyone behind and any KIA's would be abandoned so their bodies could be desecrated by the enemy. I hope the mama's and papa's are ready for the body bags to come back with funerals that have the casket closed because their daughter might not have a head or a majority of their body. Pat Tilman (football player that quit the NFL and joined the Army) lost part of his head due to a friendly fire incident and a 50 caliber bullet. Maybe they should make female only platoons. Also any women captured will be raped repeatedly. So I hope their ready for the things that happen in war. Our enemy's don't play by the rules. The Taliban and Al Quida treat women like cattle and they'd treat any captured US women in combat very harshly. Just my 2 cents worth.

 

why would anyone give up the best thing about being a woman, to do one of the worst things a man is to do.

 

As long as they can handle the physical part they should be able to serve if they want. Also, male prisoners are raped also not only women.

my dad served in nam from 1964 untill 1973 so please enlighten me as to how badly the female nurses did in transporting the wounded
my mom was a trauma nurse in a VA hospital in the early 70s and had to move grown men and did
my wife weighs in at about 140 pounds and can beat my ass like it was nothing
i do worry about my wife because she can hurt people

and then as far as not leaving anyone behind then explain the kia/mia/pow

i didnt serve in nam or korea but i did serve in iraq and a few other little spots that most people run from

my 9 year old daughter can hit a 2inch target with a .223 at 500 yards
she can carry 100pound bags of feed

get over the superiority complex and realize that some females are actualy equal to men
and some are just fucking better

See, I know the capabilities of women, and that just about all physical boundaries can be overcome mentally.

How would you feel about your daughter being drafted and sent to war ?

 

A team of women commando's all on PMS at the same time would be lethal.

 

Anyone who is not openly sexist is going to give the same answer to that, "exactly the same way as I would feel about my son being drafted and sent to war."

There are many places for women in combat. Best helo pilot I knew was a woman. Infantry is a different situation. You would think if they can meet the PULHES and strength criteria of Army 11B and 11C MOS for example, which are substantial and hopefully not "gender normed", they would be good to go. There are differing opinions even in the services.

It's hardly a guess, is it? The definition of sexism is behaving differently dependent on gender, which is what you are admitting to doing.

 

Yes, same standards across the board. If someone can physically and mentally meet the challenges of any combat/spec operations they should be allowed. No special treatment or hazing standards must be upheld by first line leaders.

If a person feels uncomfortable working with another based on what's in between another persons legs then that's their problem.

Bottom line is once the first shot is fired most morality, chivalry and bigotry goes out the window. Self preservation>*

Personally I would rather have more rifles pointed down range than less.
