Maybe. I'm still deciding whether I accept your "Erotic fiction vs. porn" premise; I'm inclined to think it's more of a "whatever works" situation.

Definitely not my premise. Minds far sharper than mine put that forth here years ago.

I wrote a story that was basically porn, but now I'm seeing if I can make it into erotic fiction. I was inclined to believe it would only work as porn (I don't want to change the story or sexual positions), but I'm seeing if it'll work.

    easy-peasy.

just find/replace "his cock" with "his turgid member" and "her cunt" with "her sweet warm plenitude"

Not really what I meant. I might keep the word "cock", but as I am writing it now, the parts before the sex scenes were only 15 lines. Now, I've written 20 and I haven't even gotten to the part where the characters have sex.

well I've helped with that rite? "turgid member" is a lot more letters.

I'm seriously considering rewriting my deer sex stories for the young adult genre. That's where the action is, if you want to go mainstream.

Yeah, but I'm more focused on emotions and characterization before the smut begins. Even as the smut begins, I'll likely expand. "Turgid member" may not be something I write. That actually sounds a little more awkward than "cock". But it depends on the situation.

I might post a "Compare and Contrast" in my thread.

you can rite like a readers choice, door A uses "cunt" and door B uses "sweet warm plenitude"

or if you really want to go crazy you can say "her deliquescent ambrosial fount of venus" (cuz thats what boys call my cunny)

I am honestly thinking of something like that.

Ironically, there was little pussy interaction in my story.

Maybe you could. I would love to read your stories, but I'm not too fond of animals or beastiality.

Well if you don't like animals theres no hope for you. What kind of person would eschew a fluffy companion animal?

an inhuman ,monster that's who, but i'm not judging (shruggy)

but as for bestiality or whatever, shut your filthy mouth. i don't rite beastialities. deer having sex with humans? icky poo. do you know an alert fawn can smell a filthy American in the forest from a half mile away?

    true.

but i suppose it's no big accomplishment. The Viet Cong could, too,.

I wasn't trying to insult you. If you like deer sex, that's fine. It's just not my thing. Erotica is made to appeal to different niches, just like porn. I personally don't like reading about animal sex. You may not like reading about big-titted porn stars, and that's fine.

Not sure if this thread is used for it's original purpose, but in case it is, and in case anyone wants to invest in their skill, I will contribute this link: https://www.instituteforwriters.com/
I took their short story writing courses. You'll be looking at about $900 for a 300 hr course, but everything I saw earlier in this thread, and more, will be covered in the course manual. You do it online and get plenty of time to do the assignments. The feed back and corrections and the ongoing use of the resources on their website/student center are worth the price. They also offer children's writing courses. If you successfully take the story course and have the potential, your teacher can recommend you for a novel writing course. They also just started offering a critique service where you can send 1,000 words from a story and get professional critiquing on the work. $99
Is it worth spending $900 on a writing course? The proof is in the pudding. Compare my next entry in CAW 28 with what I wrote before the course (anything in my stories except Potential).

Thanks, but no thanks. For one, I don't have that kind of money at all right now (I only work retail and temp jobs). Second, I'm not really interested in writing the best story I can or winning any awards. I just want to write a good story that people can still get off to.

That's fine, I wasn't saying you had to take the course, just providing the information for anybody who might want it.
