No, now shootersa you know there is no possible way to have an "honest conversation" with someone who will not even answer simple straightforward questions and instead just sits there making up lies like a small child.

Which is what you do. Just like you did here.

Just like Trump his supporters are cornered and terrified. Which is why they not only won't answer simple questions they also have to sit there and lie over and over and over again saying they answered those questions when it is just obvious that haven't and won't. Because answering them defeats their arguments and exposes them for the lying hypocrites they really are. So I will go ahead and answer those two simple questions.

1.If Trump's border wall is so imperative for our security why didn't the Republicans fund the wall when they controlled both the House and Senate.

And the answer is quite simple. Because they didn't have 51 or even 50 Republican Senators wiling to vote for Trump's "wall."

With majorities in both the House and Senate Republicans could have very easily funded Trump's "wall" using the same reconciliation process they used to try to repeal and replace Obamacare. They successfully used reconciliation to pass a their massive tax cut. And they could have used it to fund Trump's wall. In fact as late as October 2018 there was actually a bill introduced in the House to use reconciliation to fund the "wall."

But it never made it out of the House because Republicans leaders and Senators knew the last thing they could afford is another stunning and glaring defeat like the repeal of the ACA. And it actually would have been an even bigger defeat because while it is a dirty little secret they don't want to get out the only Republican Senator in a border state that has given even tepid support for the idea of a wall is Ted Cruz. And even Cruz talks out of both sides of his mouth about it. And the last thing they want is to have to put those Senators on the record where they have to publicly defy Trump and vote against the wall. Because if they voted for it they would be the ones who get voted out of office the next time they came up for election. 54% of Americans oppose Trump's wall and a lot of those people are in border states. And those Senators fucking know it.

2.Do you personally support Trump declaring a National Emergency to build his wall?

Now why won't Trump supporters (not counting PR hacks that get paid to support the idea) just go on the record with a simple yes or no? Seems simple enough doesn't it? You know what YOU think don't you?

But here is their Catch 22. If they say No it not only goes against Trump it also defeats their entire argument that migrants at the border are any kind of credible threat and the crisis is actually nothing more than an invented political stunt. Which Old Tool actually already proved beyond reasonable doubt on this very thread.

But if they say Yes then they know they have just opened Pandora's Box and once again prove the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nations. Conservatives have always preached against government overreach and I bet I could go back and find close to 100 posts from PR hacks and Trump supporters setting their hair on fire and hysterically screaming that President Obama was trying to circumvent the Constitution and being an Imperial President. In fact we even had conspiracy threads screaming hysterically that President Obama was building concentration camps so he could declare marshal law, start locking people up, and taking everyone's guns away. So they will most definitely prove themselves to be nothing but lying hypocrites if they are now saying Trump should declare a National Emergency over an invented crisis and political stunt.

And they also know it really does invite comparisons to Hitler and the people who blindly followed their Fuhrer into dictatorship, World War II, and the Holocaust. Because that is exactly how Hitler did it. When the Reichstag was burned which many historians actually believe was a false flag and the Nazis were actually the ones who set the fire Hitler declared a state of National Emergency which is all he had to do to become an all powerful dictator. And it really is a good trick for dictators because if we look around the world at the dictators we have today nearly everyone of them became dictators by first declaring a state of National Emergency, called in the military, and ended civilian rule.

Which is exactly what Trump is threatening to do now. Declare a state of National Emergency to bypass Congress and bring in the military to build his wall. Which is a pretty easy step for him since he has already bypassed the Constitution and civilian rule of law when he deployed US troops to the border for nothing more than a political stunt.

And that is why Trump supporters won't go on the record to answer those very simple questions. They can't. Because it exposes them for the blind parrot lying hypocrites the are in fact and in deed.

The general reminds shooter of a kid in his high school.

The kid was the loudest big mouth in class, always challenging the teachers authority, wasting class time demanding to be the center of attention and always, but always missing assignments.

The math teacher wrote assignments on the board and sure as shit the loudmouth would ask the teacher to repeat the assignment and when the teacher pointed to the board loudmouth would say the light made it hard to read, or he couldn't make it out, or worst of all, he'd read it outloud and ask if that was right.

You'd think the asshole couldn't walk 6 feet to the board if the light was bad.
He wouldn't of course cause the issue wasn't the assignment, it was being an asshole.

And inevitably he wouldn't turn in assignments anyway.

Just a loudmouth obnoxious knucklehead who thought it was all about him.

    It wasn't.

And you know you have defeated the Trump supporter's entire arguments and exposed them for the lying hypocrites they really are when the best they can do is muster some kind of impotent personal attack.

Which makes this the perfect metaphor for them.

The Dictator in Chief marches on.

Trump warns the US border ‘is eventually going to be militarized’

*And that is both ironic and very telling of where Trump's thinking is now since in 1999, Trump said of Buchanan;."He's a Hitler lover. I guess he's an anti-Semite. He doesn't like the blacks. He doesn't like the gays. It's just incredible that anybody could embrace this guy."

But there is also another very clear sign of Trump's dictatorial thinking when he says "I have an absolute right to declare a state of National Emergency." No he does not. Presidents don't have anymore "rights" than you and I. Presidents have the "authority" to do some things but that authority is granted to them by laws and the Constitution. But in Trump's mind he is above laws and the Constitution. He is not the POTUS. Trump thinks like a king. And a mad king at that.]

    So, point of clarification.
Pat Buchanan authored the statement that the "Southern border is eventually going to be militarized".
    Trump just quoted Buchanan.
    https://www.creators.com/read/pat-buchanan

So, because Trump copied and pasted a statement made by a pundit, does that mean Trump accepts as truth what was pasted?

What is so funny is that when someone "assumes" something it means they did not base that on any evidence. Which is why if you do want some kind of evidence you might look at something like opinion polls to see what other people are thinking.

There are just some people for whom words have no meaning.

So, wheres your basis for ASSUMING 100% of the "conservatives" here support trump declaring a stste of emergency?

Its the despicables who keep bringing up trump declaring a state of emergency. And no matter how trump responds the despicables spew that hes gonna do it now for sure! He's gonna suspend the constitution and declare himself dictator for life and GIVE ALL OUR NUKES TO RUSSIA!!!!! We already know Trump is an agent of Russia! The FBI said so!

The general is doing the same thing around here, hoping to bait someone into a response with his nonsense question.

He's even answering his own questions.

A sign of insanity ny the way.

So assume away general, if that's what it takes.

And...here comes another one...they just keep coming.

New migrant caravan leaves Honduras for journey to US border

A new caravan of at least 500 migrants late Monday began its perilous journey from a rain-soaked bus station in Honduras to the United States border, members of the group told Fox News.

The caravan left the northern city of San Pedro Sula earlier than expected. There was chatter on social media that the group would leave at 5 a.m. on Tuesday. It is unclear why the group left earlier, but rainy weather could have played a role.

The scene was a familiar one: The group had a mix of people that included some mothers carrying their young children on their shoulders. It's unclear where the group will rest, but past migrants have used the Honduran city of Quimistan, which is 35 miles from the bus stop, as an early checkpoint.

As they walked, some migrants pleaded with local store owners to give them food or water for their journey, according to the Associated Press.

Naw, we don't need a wall. These people will quietly line up and wait their turn to ask to be citizens.

    1. Old Tool
Now you're just being disingenuous. According to the CBP, exactly ~ZERO~ people involved in that rush made it into the USA on that day back on November 2018. Old news, regurgitated for scare tactic points, has as much credibility as the junk from rawstory. Sad.

Re-read your own story. How many migrants made it successfully through the border security into the USA on that day? Zero. Your own cited story says zero. That means none. "More migrants" would be 1. Are you willing to spend billions to prevent 1 migrant from making it across illegally? You border faux-patriot try-hards have no faith in the people or systems that have been doing a VERY good job of reducing the flow of illegals into the country.

Believing that any additional barrier will reduce that number any faster, or more significantly, than what we already have in place is delusional. As long as the systems in place are as effective as they are, the wall is an expensive luxury and a vanity project.

Well now you're moving the goal posts.
Your original point was that "zero people.... made it into the US that day...."

Well, but 69 did. And remember the first child that died in custody? You must recall that tragedy. They were apprehended 160 miles into the US. Don't recall how many others were with them, but it was more than a couple.

So again: how many migrants need to get across before you see value in a wall?
    100? 1,000? 1,000,000? Doesn't matter?

    1. Old Tool
you are so intentionally obtuse sometimes ... all 69 persons who "made it into the US" that day were immediately apprehended.

Unless a wall would be guaranteed to reduce the flow of illegals at a rate greater than is already happening, it is a waste of resources.

Now I'll ask you a question - on a per illegal prevented basis - how much are you willing to spend of our money? $1,000, $10,000, $100,000, $1,000,000 or more?

    Yes they were arrested.
    In the US.

As long as a wall improves security of the US in a meaningful way, as long as it reduces the sex traffickers and drug runners, if it prevents one terrorist or gang member from killing a US citizen the wall has to be part of the discussion.

Ever been in big bend country? Parts of it are as rugged and remote as the Grand canyon or desolation canyon in Utah. No matter how many guards, drones and sensors are placed in that area, it is as simple to cross as a 20 yard swim. Sometimes as simple as a 20 yard wade. And once across all but impossible to catch, cause it is not flat like the Sonora. And even if we do catch them they always have the password: asylum.

We need the damn fence. Maybe not all 2,000 miles, but a fence.

We need to get the fucking politicians to stop wagging their weenies and take care of our business.

And that goes for both despicables and deplorables.

    For God's sake.
Trump is not, never has been, and probably never will be
    "anti immigration"

He, like probably all deplorables, and maybe even a few despicables, is against
    ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

It seems that despicables simply cannot comprehend the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL.
Or, don't want to when it comes to anything Trump.

So why would an increase in H1B Visas be news worthy? Unemployment is at record lows, and in many areas there are still more jobs than applicants. This is what the H1B Visa program was intended for.

And finally, since President Trump gave up control of his business interests............ ALL of his business interests, why would it be notable that businesses President Trump used to control are using foreign workers to fill gaps?

    Why?

    Cause Trump

Nothing works but a wall. Just ask Trump and his supporters. Which is what makes shutting the government down and putting the nation at risk worth it because Fox News and Rush Limbaugh got mad at Trump.

Largest single group of migrants ever tunnels under border wall in Arizona, says Border Protection

    ARRESTED!!!!!!!

    BECAUSE THEY WERE CAUGHT!!!!!!

More evidence that walls work just as well as other security measures
